Childhood Immunization Center — Shilmoon Hospital
Trained pediatric nurses, temperature-controlled cold boxes and gentle care, all for 0 Taka.
Background & Community Impact
Vaccination is the best protection we have against dangerous childhood infections, including Tuberculosis, Polio, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Hepatitis B, Hib, Pneumonia and Measles-Rubella.
The government provides the core vaccines under Bangladesh's Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), but low-income parents often face crowded clinics, unreliable schedules or extra charges for syringes, registration cards and nursing. To remove every barrier, the Free Vaccination Support Center was set up at Shilmoon Specialized Hospital. Shilmoon pays for all of the 24/7 cold-chain refrigeration, backup generators, sterile auto-disable syringes and registered nursing care, so parents pay 0 Taka.
Clinical Protocol & Cold-Chain Excellence
The Free Vaccination Support program keeps strict standards for storing vaccines and a child-friendly way of working:
BCG, Pentavalent (DTP-HepB-Hib), PCV, bOPV/fIPV and MR vaccines, given exactly on the national childhood immunization schedule.
No charge for giving the vaccine, nursing checks, sterile auto-disable syringes or immunization record cards.
Medical-grade refrigeration with continuous temperature data loggers and automatic emergency power backup.
Trained health professionals who use sterile injection methods, handle children kindly and work quickly.
We check the baby's temperature before the vaccine, watch for any immediate allergic reaction, and advise parents on caring for the child at home afterwards.
The power costs for cold storage, nursing supplies and the center's logistics are fully covered by ongoing corporate social responsibility funds.
